Written Content for London Health Science Foundation
I've had the pleasure of writing freelance for the London Health Sciences Foundation. I currently help them in composing patient stories, one of which is published on their website.
It's critical for people to understand that there is a person with a story behind every illness. The work the London Health Sciences Foundation and the hospital do is life-saving. Please read:

FOR RELEASE ON FEBRUARY 12, 2020
It’s now possible to design a modern kitchen while saving space using a 10-in-1 Cooker.
(London, Ont.) – We’ve all found ourselves on the floor in front of a lower kitchen cabinet at one time or another, pulling out a clown car’s worth of small appliances, stacking the sauté pan on top of the rice cooker next to the cake maker covering the tile next to us, just trying to get that slow cooker out.
“I’ve had those evenings where I’ve had to wrestle into my lower cabinets to get to the appliance I need to make dinner,” Barbara Nelson, CEO of Instant Pot ® said. “It gets ridiculous, with half your kitchen on the floor.”
This is partially the result of outdated kitchen designs and partially the result of the large number of small kitchen appliances that the typical kitchen enthusiast uses on a regular basis. When trying to design around these storage needs, contractors and interior designers can struggle to balance a beautiful, updated kitchen with all that small appliance storage.
But thanks to a breakthrough in kitchen tech, contractors and designers can now take the need for copious amounts of small-appliance-storage off the list of requirements included in a kitchen design, rather than restructuring an entire kitchen design around slow cookers and rice makers.
“I’ve remodeled my own kitchen two times in the last 10 years trying to find the solution to the storage problem, but was never happy with the results,” Nelson said. “It’s a hassle that we at Instant Pot decided to tackle by increasing the usability of one of our small cookers to act as 10.”
Contractors or interior designers can tackle this small appliance storage problem now by suggesting their clients purchase the Ultra 10-in-1 Multi-Use Programmable Cooker, which replaces many commonly used appliances, including the sauté/searing pan, pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice and porridge cooker, cake maker, yogurt maker, steamer, warmer, sterilizer.
The Programmable Cooker is a tech breakthrough brought to the home-chef courtesy of Instant Pot®, the company that built a reliable brand of small kitchen appliances over 30 years with a solid reputation for providing quality, long-lasting cooking tools.
And Instant Pot didn’t stray from its standards with this cooker. Much like the rest of the Instant Pot® fleet of cookers, this Cooker produces nutritious and delicious meals. It is a smart cooker with preset cooking instructions for different meals and cooking methods, and remembers the program settings for a personalized cooking experience.
Complete manufacturer specs and the user’s manual for the Instant Pot ® Ultra 10-in-1 Multi-Use Programmable Cooker are provided at https://instantpot.com/portfolio-item/ultra/#overview .
